Nepal Consulate in Kolkata Hosts Interaction on Trade, Transit and Investment Cooperation
The Consulate General of Nepal in Kolkata organized an interaction programme on Nepal’s trade, transit and investment facilitation on Wednesday.
The programme served as a platform for discussions on strengthening Nepal-India cooperation in areas such as trade, transit, logistics, connectivity, and investment, according to the Consulate General of Nepal in Kolkata.
Speaking on the occasion, Consul General Jhakka Prasad Acharya reaffirmed the Consulate’s commitment to working closely with all stakeholders to further enhance trade facilitation, connectivity and economic cooperation between Nepal and India.
A thematic presentation on “Nepal’s Trade, Transit and Investment” was delivered by Deepesh Lekhak, highlighting Nepal’s trade and transit framework, investment potential and ongoing initiatives aimed at deepening Nepal-India economic ties.
The interaction session also provided participants with an opportunity to exchange views and share constructive suggestions related to trade facilitation, customs coordination, logistics management, connectivity and investment promotion.
Chairman of Kolkata’s Shyama Prasad Mookherjee Port Rajendra Raman, senior officials, representatives from Kolkata Customs, members of the Kolkata Customs House Agents Association, Nepal Customs House Agents Association and other stakeholders attended the programme, the Consulate General stated.
