Representatives from the Nepal Chamber of Commerce, including its chairman Kamlesh Kumar Agrawal, met with Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal to discuss concerns about the country's economic condition. They urged the need for better coordination of financial and monetary policies to revitalize the economy.

The Chamber pointed out several issues causing the economic slowdown, including restrictive past policies, instability in business sectors like the stock market and real estate, and up to 50% negative asset valuations in the private sector. They also highlighted unclear tax provisions and problematic practices in real estate transactions.

The Chamber emphasized the urgent need to address problems in the cooperative sector, which has impacted small and medium entrepreneurs, proposing tax relief for affected entrepreneurs and the establishment of a Tax Management Commission to quickly resolve tax disputes. In response, Prime Minister Dahal acknowledged the economic pressures and outlined the government's efforts to create a policy framework to stabilize and strengthen the economy, including plans to resolve cooperative sector issues.
