Nepal Bank dominates trade after dividend announcement; two companies hit the positive circuit

The market today lost minimal of 0.24 points and closed at 1131.12 points. NEPSE fell to 1128 points at its lowest today. The turnover amount stood at Rs.35.68 Crore achieved through trade of 1,188,845 units of shares traded through 4,957 transactions trading scrips of 160 listed companies in the process.

Nepal Bank Limited (NBL) dominated the trade after dividend announcement. The scrip posted a turnover of Rs.8.39 Crore achieved through trade of 260,644 units of shares. The LTP of the stock stood at Rs.320 per share.

Two companies hit the positive circuit today. Salt Trading Corporation (STC) gained 103 points and closed at Rs.1140 per share while Ghodighoda Laghubitta (GGBSL) gained 43 points and closed at Rs.477 per share. Universal Power Company (UPCL) was today’s top loser as it lost 5.40% or 4 points and closed at Rs.70 per share.

Sensitive Index lost 0.53 points and closed at 248.60 points while Float Index gained minimal points and closed at 84.12 points.

Hydropower, Manufacturing, Others and Mutual Funds were among losing sub-indices today while the rest of the sub-indices ended in the green zone after gaining points.
