Nepal Bangladesh Bank Limited (NBB) has registered satisfactory profit growth of 46.68 percent in the second quarter (Q2) of the fiscal year 2073/74.
According to the unaudited financial report published by the commercial bank today, its net profit has increased to Rs. 54.06 crore in second quarter up from Rs. 36.85 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal year.
Nepal Bangladesh Bank’s net interest income has risen to Rs 72.61 crore in Q2 as compared to Rs. 56.59 crore in the corresponding quarter.
It has a paid up capital of Rs 4.01 arba with reserve of Rs 2.56 arba in Q2.
The bank also collected of deposits of Rs 41.03 arba in Q2, up from Rs 35.50 arba in the corresponding period last year. Likewise, it has extended loans and advances of Rs. 36.20 arba in Q2 whereas in the same period last year the figure stood at Rs. 29.17 arba.
Its non-performing loan (NPL) declined to 0.99 percent in the current quarter from 1.08 percent in the previous year report.
NBB’s annualized Earnings per Share (EPS) stands at Rs. 27, net worth per share at Rs.164, and P/E ratio at 28 times.
