Nepal Bangladesh Bank meager profit rises by 11.30% in Q2; NPL dropped to 1.08%

Nepal Bangladesh Bank Limited (NBB) has posted net profit growth by 11.30%for the second quarter of the fiscal year 2072/73. Publishing the unaudited financial report for today, the commercial bank has stated that its net profit increased to Rs 36.85 crore in Q2 of the fiscal year 2072/73 up from  Rs 33.11 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal year 2071/72. The commercial bank has collected deposits of Rs 35.50 arba in the Q2 compared to Rs 27.20 arba in the corresponding quarter last year. Likewise, it extended loans of Rs 29.17 arba, up from Rs 23.68 arba of corresponding quarter last year. Its net interest income increased from Rs 46.22 crore to Rs 56.59 crore in Q2. The bank’s Non-Performing Loan (NPL) decreased to 1.08 % in Q2 from 1.26 % in the corresponding quarter. Its EPS (annualized) stands at Rs 24, net worth per share at Rs173 and P/E ratio is at 20 times.
