Nepal Bangladesh Bank announces 32% bonus; 80% right share to follow; Paid up to reach Rs 7.22 arba after bonus and right

Nepal Bangladesh Bank Limited (NBB) has proposed to distribute 32 percent bonus share and 1.7 percent cash dividend (tax purpose) to its shareholders. NBB is also issuing 80% right share to its shareholders after the bonus share.
The BOD meeting held on Bhadra 17, 2073 has proposed 32 percent bonus share and 1.7 percent cash dividend to its shareholders from the net profit it earned in the last fiscal year 2072/73.
However, the decision is subjected to approval from Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) and bank’s upcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM).
Last year, NBB had distributed 25% bonus share to its shareholders from the profit it made in 2071/72 FY.
NBB had earned net profit of Rs 1.19 arba in the fourth quarter of the fiscal year 2072/73 as per unaudited report. It’s paid up capital stands at Rs 3.03 arba and after the issuance of 32% bonus share the paid up capital will rise to Rs 4 arba and after the issuance of 80% right share the paid up capital will scale up to Rs 7.22 arba.
