NCHL marks 10 successful Years of establishment

Nepal Clearing House Ltd. (NCHL), established on 8th Poush 2065 (23rd December 2008), has completed today 10 years of its establishment. NCHL has been promoted by Nepal Rastra Bank, Banks & Financial Institutions and Smart Choice Technology Ltd, with an objective to implement multiple national payment and settlement systems in Nepal. Since then it has implemented and operated Electronic Cheque Clearing (NCHL-ECC) for processing of paper based financial instruments, Interbank Payment System (NCHL-IPS) for processing of instruction based direct credit/ direct debit financial instruments and connectIPS e-Payment System for processing of electronic payments through alternate channels.

NCHL today marked the day by arranging various corporate social responsibility events. It organized an open blood donation program at Mangal Bazar, Lalitpur in association with Nepal Red Cross society where there was participation of its employees and general public. It also donated five computers and made necessary arrangements in association with Help Nepal Network, non-profit organization, to establish an e-Library at Shree Damaitar Basic School, Damaitar, Godawari, Lalitpur. This will include installation and setup of the digital content of the school curriculum for up to eight grade and basic training for its operations to the school teachers.

The company believes to continue contributing to the society by organizing similar events in future as well.
