NCC Bank fraud case; Bank urges the stakeholders to remain assured about the Bank’s performance

NCC Bank has released a press statement regarding the ongoing fraud case. Central Investigation Bureau had conducted a raid and arrested 13 members of the bank. The people arrested are accused of involvement in fraud of more than Rs 1.5 arba.
The bank has published a press statement to clarify on the matter. In the press statement, it has stated that the fraud is related with the then Apex Development Bank. The loan given to the customers of Apex Development Bank is the amount indulged in fraud. Hence, the employees of then development bank have been arrested for further inquiry.
Furthermore, the bank also clarifies that the amount has already been set aside in the loan loss provision as per the directive issued by Nepal Rastra Bank. So, the bank will not be dealing any kind of effect in its financial status due to the fraud. And it has also focused that the bank has a strong financial position and the customers as well as shareholders will remain unaffected from it.
Apart from that, NCCB has said that the investigation from the CIB will be fruitful for the bank as it will help the bank in the proper evaluation and realization of the loan of then Apex Development Bank.
