National Microfinance earns net profit of Rs 1.38 crore in Q2; NPL stood 1.47%

National Microfinance Bittiya Sanstha Limited (NMBSL) has reported a profit rise of 1.38 crore for the second quarter of the current fiscal year 2072/73. According to the unaudited quarterly report for the second quarter published today, the microfinance has amassed a net profit of Rs 1.38 crore in the second quarter of fiscal year 2072/73, a growth from net loss of 2.21 lakh reported in the corresponding quarter of the previous year 2071/72. In the second quarter National Microfinance net interest income has risen to Rs 3.59 crore , up from Rs 38.03 lakh in the corresponding quarter. It also collected Rs 5.06 crore in deposits and disbursed Rs 60.71 crore in loans as compared to Rs 50.42 lakhs in deposits and Rs 22.43 crore in loans in the corresponding quarter last year. The microfinance CD ratio stands at 385.74% and non-performing loan (NPL) is at 1.47% in Q2. The microfinance paid up capital remains at Rs 7 crore.
