Nabil Bank’s outstanding progress in Q3; 30.76% increase in net profit to Rs 2.68 arba and EPS at Rs 58

Nabil Bank Limited (NABIL) has continued to show outstanding progress in the third quarter of the FY 2073/74. As per the unaudited financial report, its net profit has surged by 30.76% as compared to last year’s report. Its net profit now stands at a whopping Rs 2.68 arba. Its operating income has also increased by 35.24% to Rs 4.10 arba. As of Q3, Nabil Bank’s deposit base stands at a staggering Rs 1.17 kharba. Out of this, it has floated loans of Rs 90.55 arba. With 28% increase in floated loans, it has been able to increase its net interest income by 34.44% to Rs 4.08 arba. Its CCD ratio stands at a tight 79.75%. Its paid up capital now stands at Rs 6.18 arba with a reserve of Rs 8.09 arba. Despite the liquidity situation last quarter, its cost of deposits did not increase significantly. Currently, the cost of fund stands at just 2.28% (one of the lowest among commercial banks). Its annualized EPS has now reached Rs 57.85, net worth per share at Rs 230.84 with P/E ratio of 27.31. Nabil Bank distributed 30% bonus share and 15% cash dividend to its shareholders from the profits it earned in FY 2072/73. As per NRB’s directive for all commercial banks to increase their paid up capital to a minimum of Rs 8 arba by the end of FY 2073/74, NABIL should further increase its capital by Rs 1.82 arba (around 30%).
