Mustang Customs Office Collects Rs 6.66 Billion Revenue After Korala Border Operation
The Mustang Customs Office located at Nhechu in Lomanthang Rural Municipality-1 has collected revenue amounting to Rs 6.66 billion as of May 29.
The revenue collection significantly increased after the Korala border point along the Nepal-China border came into full operation on September 16, 2025.
According to Chief Customs Officer Bidur Chudal, the revenue was generated mainly through the import of electric vehicles, garments, and other goods entering Nepal through the Korala transit route.
Officials believe the full-fledged operation of the border point has boosted trade activities in the Himalayan district and contributed notably to national revenue collection.
