Muktinath Bikas Bank Limited conducts financial literacy at Budhibajar

Branch office of Muktinath Bikas Bank Limited at Budhibajar has organized financial literacy program. The development bank initiated the financial literacy program of the fiscal year on Ashwin 23.The program was organized at Hanspur VDC, Ramkot 6, Kaski. Altogether 250 locals (male and female) took part in the program. The main objective of the program was to make people aware about finance, proper saving, productive investment from loan and remittance, family budget planning, insurance for risk minimization and use of clean note. The responsibilities and duties of borrowers were also included in the program. On the program Chudamani Kandel, a BOD member of Muktinath Bikas Bank told that the development bank provided financial literacy program to 8,020 locals in 55 different places. This year also the program will further move as a campaign.Bharat Raj Dhakal, CEO of Muktinath Bikas Bank opined that until and unless people become aware about financial terms, the goals of financial institutions will not be achieved. The development bank has been organizing financial literacy programs as a part of Corporate Social Responsibility. In the upcoming days, the program will be organized in Kaski and Tanahun. Participants of the program opined of the development of self-decision making process and self-awareness through such programs. In addition they said that these programs have made them financially more capable.
