Muktinath Bikas Bank initiates agro-based cooperatives in 3 districts; pilots to commercialize the agro sector with local Muktinath Cooperatives and Muktinath Agro Company
Muktinath Bikas Bank, to revolutionize the agro sector of the nation, has initiated pilot programs at three districts in Gandaki province where the bank has facilitated for the establishment of Dardi Muktinath Multipurpose Cooperative at Rainas of Syangja, Machhapuchchhre Muktinath Multipurpose Cooperative at Kaski and Mirlungkot Muktinath Multipurpose Cooperative at Tanahun.
The local-level cooperatives were inaugurated by chairman of the bank Mr. Bharat Raj Dhakal amid the presence of local government heads of respective local units and local citizens where the bank organized cooperative literacy events while Muktinath Agro Company handed over the agriculture technology, as per the media statement.
The training events were facilitated by employees from Muktinath Bank Mr. Santosh Rokka and Mr. Bhumiraj Bhandari from Muktinath Agro Company.
The bank will now make agro loan investments via these companies while the Agro Company will facilitate agriculture production and sales of the product, as per the media statement.
