Mountain Energy Nepal’s Net Profit Soars by 50.45% to Rs. 46.50 Crores in Q3; Annualized EPS Reaches Rs. 23.82

Mountain Energy Nepal Limited (MEN) has posted a strong net profit of Rs. 46.50 crores in the third quarter of fiscal year 2081/82, marking a significant 50.45% growth compared to Rs. 30.91 crores in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal year.

The company’s annualized earnings per share (EPS) has surged to Rs. 23.82, up from Rs. 18.21 in Q3 of 2080/81.

Revenue stood at Rs. 92.28 crores, a 6.05% increase from last year’s Rs. 87.02 crores, while finance costs dropped by 12.56% to Rs. 18.18 crores, contributing to improved earnings. Administrative expenses remained largely stable at Rs. 2.81 crores.

On the balance sheet front, the company’s paid-up capital rose by 15% to Rs. 2.60 Arba, and retained earnings grew by 2.01% to Rs. 1.19 crores. However, borrowings decreased by 12.64% to Rs. 2.77 Arba, indicating better financial discipline.

The company's net worth per share declined slightly to Rs. 145.87 from Rs. 151.72. Its PE ratio at the quarter’s end stood at 23.76 times, with the market price per share recorded at Rs. 566.10.
