NEPSE Witnessed Loss of 1.64% to Close at 2,796.57 Levels; RIDI Leads Turnover While Only One Sector Close at Green

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) recorded a loss today, losing by 46.78 points (1.64%) to settle at 2,796.57. This follows a 32.08 point loss in the previous session.

The benchmark index opened at 2852.83, touching an intraday high of 2,854.48, while the lowest point was 2,793.39. Total turnover for the day reached Rs. 13.18 Arba, with 36,049,451 shares traded across 329 companies through 115,550 transactions. Market capitalization stood at Rs. 47.83 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 16.33 Kharba.


Ridi Power Company Limited (RIDI) topped the turnover chart, amounting to Rs. 85.94 crores. The stock closed at Rs. 351.00.


Salapa Bikas Bank Limited (SABBL) Hit Upper Circuit with 10.00% each. The stock closed at Rs. 862.40.


Meanwhile,Kalika power Company Ltd (KPCL) recorded the steepest drop, falling 8.47%. The stock closed at Rs. 562.00.


Among sectors, the Mutual Fund registered the highest gain, gaining 0.34%, while the Trading Index saw the highest loss at 3.40%.
