Minor drop in NEPSE index, Hotel sub-index rises

Nepal Stock Exchange Limited (NEPSE) Index has dropped by 3.05 points today (0.21%) to close trading at 1463.04. Today, Nepse Index opened at 1466.09 points, and slipped to 1455.12 in the second trading hour. However, it rebounded slightly and closed at 1463.04 points. Over 2 lakh units of Prabhu Bank Limited (PRVU) and 1.32 lakhs units of Siddhartha Investment Growth Scheme-1 (SIGS1) were traded the most today. The total turnover of the day stood above Rs 34.55 crore, out of which more than Rs 7 crore was contributed solely by transactions of Prabhu Bank. Today, 8.50 lakh unit shares were traded through 3,351 transactions. Standard Chartered Bank (SCB) and Siddhartha Bank Limited (SBL) also had highest turnovers today. Green Development Bank (GRDBL) hit positive circuit today as well. Kalika Microcredit Development Bank also reached positive circuit level. Shrijana Finance Limited (SFFIL), Progressive Finance Limited (PROFL) lost the most today. Both the companies dropped by around 5% today. Sensitive index dropped by 0.64 points whereas Float index also decreased by 0.16 points. Hotel, Development Bank, and Manufacturing sub index rose today.
