METLIFE CUSTOMERS TO GET SPECIAL DISCOUNT AT KARKHANA; Policy holders of Education Protection Plan to be eligible for discounts
MetLife Nepal has signed an agreement with Karkhana to provide special discounts on their courses for children of MetLife Education Protection Plan policy holders.
Karkhana offers various educational programs through their innovation club which includes regular classes, camps and special one-off sessions for children. Eligible MetLife policy holders will receive a 15 per cent discount off regular classes and camps run by Karkhana and 20 per cent off special sessions.
MetLife’s Education Protection Plan is a unique insurance policy where both the parent and the child are insured. Parents select the period of the plan, from 10 years to 25 years for the insurance coverage. At maturity, face amount of the policy plus bonuses are paid. In case of death of applicant (father/mother) during the policy tenure, the child will receive 1% of the insured amount every month towards his or her education with remaining future premium also being waived. At the end of the policy tenure the child again receives the face amount and an accrued bonus as lump sum.
“Our Education Protection Plan is one of the best selling policies and we saw an opportunity to provide even greater value to our customers. Now, children of our customers can participate in these classes to develop their creative and analytical thinking skills which will be beneficial for their future. With these types of partnerships, we hope to encourage more collaboration among corporates and new ventures to provide holistic solutions to meet our customers’ needs”, said Nirmal Kajee Shrestha, Vice President and General Manager of MetLife Nepal.
