Meroshare replaces OTP security check with PIN system; Update expected to further enhance security on the platform

CDSC has made a new update to the Meroshare platform today.

Previously, investors had to fill the One Time Password (OTP) while applying for each issue. The OTP, like its name suggests, was a different character combination for every issue.

CDSC has now replaced the OTP security check with the PIN system. Now, investors will be required to set a PIN number while logging in for the first time. Then, while applying for each issue, they will be asked to enter the same PIN every time.

Needless to say, investors should keep this PIN confidential. Since only the investor knows the PIN, intruders can't mess up even if they have unauthorized access to the investor's Meroshare portal.
