Mega Bank shares allotted; big investors get 3.67%, small investors 6.31%; refund on Shrawan 4

Out of the total 1,60,524 applications in the Mega Bank IPO, 1,44,456 have been allotted the bank’s shares.

As disclosed by ShareSansar last week, the big investors, who had applied for 500 or more units, got shares that comprised 3.67 percent of their investment.  Likewise, small investors, who had applied for 500 or less units, got shares that made up 6.31 percent of their investment.

The bank had floated 69,90,000 units of shares out of which 37,60,670 shares have been allotted to big investors, 25,30,330 shares to small investors and 19,320 to investors who had applied for up to 150 shares.

Total 35,402 applications were received for 50 to 150 units shares, and the shares for investors in this category was awarded through lottery system.

The bank said that it will refund the oversubscribed amount in the IPO on Shrawan 4.
 
At Mega Bank’s IPO allotment program held at Annapurna Hotel in Kathmandu today, Anil Shah, the bank’s CEO, said that the 14 arba worth of applications the bank received for issues worth Rs 69.9 crore proved that there is no dearth of funds in the country.

“It is all up to the company and the management team to win the trust of individual investors and to convince them that their hard-earned money is in safe hands,” Shah said.

The bank began operation with Rs 2 arba collected from 1,219 investors across the country. After the IPO, the bank now has 1,44,456 shareholders.
