Mega Bank reports 32% escalation in annual profit; makes it to coveted billionaires club within 8 short years of operation

Mega Bank has reported net profit of Rs 1.04 arba in the FY 2074-75 which is an increament by 32% than the previous FY. CEO of the bank Ms. Anupama Kunjeli expressed her delight that the bank was able to make it to the prestigious billionaires club among the commercial banks in the short 8 years of operation. Following the merger with Tourism Development Bank, it was forced to allocate Rs 14 crore to its reserve which has sliced the figure of profit to Rs 1.04 arba, as per the CEO.

The bank has also reported growth in its customer base as the same rose from 2.60 lakh in the previous year to 4.96 lakh in the recent FY. The bank was also able to raise Rs 62 arba during the review period and disburse credit worth of Rs 57.26 crore.

The commercial bank is currently providing banking services through its 101 branches, 14 extension counters, 119 branchless banking units, more than 2000 Mega remit agents and 74 ATM outlets all over the nation.
