Mechi Customs Collects Rs. 2 Arba 83 Crore Revenue in First Two Months

Mechi Customs Office, Kakarbhitta, collected Rs. 2.83 billion in revenue during the first two months of the current fiscal year 2083/84. The office collected Rs. 2.83 billion 33.75 million against its target of Rs. 3.07 billion 50 million for Shrawan and Bhadra, achieving 92.14% of the target.

In Shrawan, the office had set a revenue target of Rs. 1.43 billion 50 million and collected Rs. 1.27 billion 98.37 million, meeting 89.19% of the target. In Bhadra, revenue collection improved, with Rs. 1.55 billion 35.38 million collected against a target of Rs. 1.64 billion, achieving 94.73%.

According to Chief Customs Officer Shivalal Neupane, revenue collection in Bhadra increased by 9.43% compared to the same month of the previous fiscal year. Mechi Customs had collected Rs. 1.36 billion 44.39 million in Bhadra last year.

Neupane said the gradual improvement in cross-border trade and stricter customs administration contributed to the increase in revenue collection.
