Market up by 17.13 points with turnover above Rs 51.4 crore; Citizens Bank in light of right share news

On the second trading day of 2017, Nepal Stock Exchange Limited (NEPSE) Index has closed positively with a gain of 17.13 points or 1.17 % to close trading at 1482.85. Citizens Bank International Limited (CZBIL) was traded the highest number of times with 293 transactions. It also had the second highest turnover of over Rs. 2.77 crore. It recently applied to SEBON for floating a further 25% right issue.
Everest Bank had the highest turnover of over Rs. 3 crore.
Today, Nepse Index opened at 1465.72 points and after that it was seen in upward trend. 114,955 units of Nabil Balanced Fund-1 (NBF1) and 106,000 unit shares of NMB Sulav Investment Fund-1 (NMBSF1) were traded the most today.
The total turnover of the day stood above Rs 51.49 crore where more than 10.17 lakh units shares were traded through 4,433 transactions. Saptakoshi Dev. Bank, Arun Finance, and Manjushree Financial Institution hit positive circuit today while Mithila Laghubitta Bikas Bank traded at negative circuit levels.
Sensitive and float index went up by 3.71 and 1.51 points respectively. Only Hotels sector landed in red by losing 6.37 points.
