Market takes a small step back on the last trading day of the week; Upper Tamakoshi continues to dominate trade after trade of more than 1 lakh units

The market today made minimal movement towards the negative zone after it lost 0.02% or 0.20 points. The benchmark index closed at 1172.78 points. Today’s turnover was at Rs.31.54 Crore which was achieved from trade of 992,930 units of shares traded through 6,101 transactions trading scrips of 162 listed companies in the process.

Upper Tamakoshi (UPPER) continues to dominate the trade after 109,449 units of shares were traded posting a turnover of Rs.3.02 Crore. The LTP of the hydropower company has fallen to Rs.274 per share.

Citizen Investment Trust (CIT) gained the most today after it gained 4.83% or 126 points to close at Rs.2735 per share. Promoter shareholders of Janata Bank Nepal (JBNLPO) lost the most today after the share price fell by 8.26% or 10 points to close at Rs.111 per share.

Sensitive Index lost 0.08 points to close at 248.65 points while Float Index lost 0.09 points to close at 85.15 points.

Banking, Hydropower, Finance, Microfinance and Life Insurance were among the losing sub-indices today ending in the red zone. Hydropower lost the most at 0.71%. Rest of the sub-indices gained points today with Others gaining the most at exactly 1%.
