The benchmark index at Nepal Stock Exchange Limited (NEPSE) bounced to 40.68 points or 2.77% to close at 1510.16 points after massive downfall.
NEPSE index opened at 1468.72 points, the local bourse imposed a 3.01 percent circuit breaker on the first trading hour after that benchmark index fell by 4 percent. Market was resumed at 12:42 PM and was seen in upward trend afterward. Overall stock market fluctuated by 168 points today.
Stock market recovered today after continuous fall of 4 consecutive days. The circuit breaker was clamped for twice yesterday. Market Capitalization has fallen down from Rs 21 kharba to Rs 16.8 kharba till date.
Dipendra Agrawal, Executive Director of Nepal Investors Forum said, “Nepse will bounce back the way it has come down.”
107,878 units shares of Bank of Kathmandu Lumbini Limited (BOKL) and 61,407 unit shares of Civil Bank Limited (CBL) were traded most today.
Everest Bank Limited and Bank of Kathmandu Lumbini have the highest turnover of Rs 15.91 crore and Rs 6.62 crore respectively. The number of transactions of EBL and BOKL reached 388 and 392.

The major companies like Shikhar Insurance Company Limited (SICL) scrip plunged by 21%. On November 7, 2016, SICL share price was at Rs 4200, within 16 trading days the company price dropped by Rs 867.
Similarly, SCB and EBL price fell by 18% and 12% respectively.
The total turnover of the day stood above Rs 1.10 arba where more than 13.95 lakh units shares were traded through 6,713 transactions.
Sensitive and float index went down by 9.29 and 3.37 points respectively.
Except Manufacturing and Production, all trading groups landed in green.
Sub-indices of Banking, Hotels and Insurance group surged by 50.79 points, 75.74 points and 134.9 points respectively.
Also many companies have distributed huge stock dividend this year to meet the new capital requirement, their share price adjustment after book closure is also one of the reason to lower the market.
