Market slumps by double digits as turnover merely above 30 Crore; GBIME posts today's highest turnover

The market today lost 13.62 points or 1.10% and closed at 1227.49 points. The turnover stands at Rs.32.64 Crore which was achieved from trade of 1,197,106 units of shares through 4,985 transactions trading scrips of 160 companies.
Global IME Bank (GBIME) stood ahead in terms of turnover after posting a turnover of Rs.2.34 Crore. The LTP of the bank stands at Rs.314 per share. Janata Bank (JBNL) stood ahead in terms of shares traded after trade of 101,618 units of shares. The LTP of the bank stands at Rs.185 per share.
Nepal Seva Laghubitta (NSEWA) was the top gainer after it gained 5.95% or 39 points to close at Rs.695 per share. Today’s top loser was IME General Insurance (IGI) after it lost 5.09% or 40 points to close at Rs.745 per share.
Sensitive Index lost 3.05 points and closed at 260.96 while Float Index lost 1.14 points and closed at 89.22 points.
Only Hotels were among gaining sub-index, gaining 0.11 points. Rest of the sub-indices ended in the red zone. Banking sector lost the most after is posted a loss of 1.44% or 15.91 points.
