Market slips by 13.79 points on the opening day of the week; Hydropower sector becomes today’s top loser

The market today lost double digit points. The benchmark index lost 1.05% or 13.79 points and closed at 1305.68 points. The turnover today was at Rs.75.32 Crore which was achieved from trade of 2,078,091 units of shares traded through 9,803 transactions trading scrips of 166 listed companies in the process.

Premier Insurance Company (PIC) posted today’s highest turnover at Rs.13.02 Crore with LTP at Rs.1173 per share. In terms of volume, Prabhu Bank (PRVU) stood ahead with trade of 153,264 units of share. The LTP of the commercial bank stands at Rs.277 per share.

Two companies hit the positive circuit today. Kankai Bikas bank (KNBL) gained 9.88% or 16 points while Taragaon Regency Hotel (TRH) gained 9.80% or 25 points. Panchthar Power Company (PPCL) hit the negative circuit today. The hydropower company lost 9.81% or 16 points and closed at Rs.147 per share.

Sensitive Index lost 3.03 points and closed at 278.12 points while Float Index lost 1.02 points and closed at 95.61 points.

Hotels and Manufacturing were the only gaining sub-indices while rest of the sub-indices ended in the red zone after losing points.
