Market sees a growth of 17.51 points as four companies hit the positive circuit; hydropower becomes the top gaining sub-index today

The market today started in the green zone today and continued the gaining run until it closed. The benchmark index gained 1.49% or 17.51 points and closed at 1195.54 points. Today’s turnover was of Rs.39.73 Crore which was achieved from trade of 835,239 units of shares traded through 4,635 transactions trading scrips of 158 listed companies in the process.

Citizen Investment Trust (CIT) posted the highest turnover at Rs.8 Crore. CIT was also among today’s top gainers. However, Nepal Bank Limited (NBL) shares were traded the most today after 64,049 units of shares were traded. The LTP of the bank stands at Rs.299 per share.

Today four companies hit the positive circuit. The top gainer among them was CIT as it gained 9.99% or 261 points to close at Rs.2874 per share. Grameen Bikas Laghubitta (GBLBS) gained 9.88% or 42 points. Other two companies which hit the circuit were, Upper Tamakoshi (UPPER) after gaining 9.79% or 23 points and Arun Kabeli Power (AKPL) after it gained 9.60% or 17 points. However, Siddhartha Equity Fund (SEF) was today’s top loser after it lost 2.71% to close at Rs.9.30 per unit.

Sensitive Index gained 3.06 points and closed at 253.55 points while Float Index gained 1.28 points and closed at 86.62 points.

All the sub-indices were in green zone today after gaining points. Today’s top gaining sub-index was Hydropower after it gained 4.35% or 52.77 points.
