The NEPSE index closed at 2,041.06 today after losing 24.83 points from last trading day. This is a loss of 1.20%. The index had gained 55.88 points yesterday.
The index opened at 2,069.38 points and went intraday high at 2,088.23. Then, the index went intraday low at 2,035.47 and ultimately closed at 2,041.06.
221 scrips traded hands via 43,392 transactions. Furthermore, a total of 6,406,738 shares exchanged hands amounting to Rs. 2.734 Arba in the turnover amount. This is higher than last trading day's turnover of Rs. 2.432 Arba.
Ridi Power Company Limited (RIDI) shares traded the most and had the highest turnover of Rs. 40.82 crores closing at a market price of Rs. 628 per share.
Upper Hewakhola Hydropower Company Limited (UHEWA) gained the highest 9.99% and technically hit positive circuit for the day.
On the other side of things, Unilever Nepal Limited (UNL) lost the highest 5.62% today.
All sector indices closed red, "HydroPower" lost the highest 3.18% while "Banking" lost the least 0.25% each.
