Market resumes downtrend, NEPSE index fall by 25.68 points; the support range of 1280-1260 had broken today

Market today had opened with a positive note, investor were expecting market to continue its last day movement but despite of  the removal of new CGT mechanism, market turns downward.

Today, the market opened at 1282.70 points, in the first 20 minutes market moved slowly upward and reached the intra-day high of 1285.70 points. Then a sharp fall of around 17.85 was observed in next 40 minutes. After the sharp fall, market consolidated for next 30 minutes and then market move downward slowly for next one and half hours, and in the last half hour market fall sharply closing it at the intra-day low of 1257.07 points.   NEPSE index had broken the support range of 1280-1260, which is major concern for the investors.

Total turnover of the day stands at Rs 46.85 crore and more than 14.41 lakh unit shares were traded in the whole day through 6,593 transactions.

 Mega Bank (MEGA)   stood ahead in terms of turnover as more than Rs 2.07 crore worth of shares was traded.

Similarly, Shangrila Development Bank Promoter Share (SADBLP) had top in terms of number of shares traded as 126,373 unit shares were traded.

Likewise, the top gainer for the day is, Samata Microfinance Bittiya Sanstha (SMATA), whose price increased by 3.96% to Rs. 1,260.

 Yesterday’s top gainer, NagBeli LaghuBitta Bikash Bank (NBBL), was the top loser of the day with the loss 7.66% on its price.

The sub-indices for all sectors shrink and landed in red zone.

 Among all losers, Insurance sector had top the list by losing 2.64% (174.76 points).
