Market repeats its declining trend; Plunges by 17.18 points

NEPSE has decreased by 17.18 points or 1.22% after resuming trading after being on a break yesterday. The market had started on 1,413.9 and it had seen a quick rise in the first 15 minutes of trade reaching the highest point of 1,423.77. But the market started decreasing and ended losing 17.18 points. The total turnover for the day was of Rs 40.59 crore where more than 10 lakh unit of shares were traded. The shares were traded through 4,178 transactions in the day. 1 Nepal Life Insurance Company Limited Promoter (NLICP) stood ahead in terms of turnover as more than Rs 5.70 crore worth of its scrip were traded. The shares of Om Development Bank Limited Promoter (ODBLPO) were the highest traded shares as 89,634 unit shares were traded during the day. Progressive Finance Limited (PROFL) was the top gainer for the day gaining 10 points and its LTP was Rs 206. While, Summit Microfinance Development Bank Limited (SMFDB) was the top loser of the day losing 72 points and its LTP being Rs 1,160. Both the sensitive and float index decreased by 3.66 points and 1.4 points respectively. Among the sub-indices, only Hotels and Others were in the green zone while every other sub-index decreased.
