Market recovers by 5.75 points to stand at 1260.10 points; three companies hit the circuit today, two positive and one negative

The market today posted a gain of 0.46% or 5.75 points. The benchmark index closed at a high of 1260.10 points today. The turnover stood at Rs.48.14 Crore achieved from trade of 1,504,672 units of shares traded through 5,980 transactions trading scrips of 173 listed companies in the process.

Shivam Cements (SHIVM) dominated today’s trade with turnover of Rs.5.18 Crore achieved from trade of 78,444 units of shares. The LTP of the manufacturing company stands at Rs.660 per share.

Two microfinance companies hit the positive circuit today. Janautthan Samudayic Laghubitta (JSLBB) gained 9.91% or 99 points and closed at Rs.1098 per share while Ganapati Microfinance (GMFBS) gained 9.78% or 35 points and closed at Rs.393 per share. Multipurpose Finance (MPFL) hit the negative circuit as it lost 9.60% or 22 points and closed at Rs.207 per share.

Sensitive Index gained 1.44 points and closed at 271.04 points while Float Index gained 0.40 points and closed at 92.50 points.

Development Banks, Non-Life Insurance, Life Insurance and Mutual Funds were among the losing sub-indices while rest of the sub-indices ended in the green zone after gaining points.
