Market records transaction above Rs 20 crore; Closes at 1,188.21 points losing 1.46 points

NEPSE loses 1.46 points or 0.12% ending up in the red zone today. The market had opened at 1189.67 today, experienced downward movement from the beginning and closed at 1188.21 points.

The total turnover for today stands at Rs 21.37 crore with a total of 9.09 lakh shares traded. Similarly 3,525 transactions were carried out throughout the day which included the transaction of 157 scrips.

Progressive Finance Limited Promoter Share (PROFLP) stood ahead in terms of turnover as more than Rs 3.46 crore worth of shares was exchanged. Similarly, PROFLP was also ahead in terms of shares traded as 3,43,537 unit shares were traded during the day.

The shareholders of Support Microfinance Bittiya Sanstha Limited (SMB) earned the most today as the price of the share increased by 102 points and the LTP stood at Rs 1,129. However, the shareholders of First Microfinance Development Bank Limited (FMDBL) lost 46 points to record its LTP at Rs 448.

The sub-indices for Hotels, Non-Life Insurance and Others gained and closed in green whereas the remaining sub-indices closed in red. The Hotels sector gained the most, climbing up by 32.34 points. Similarly, the Life Insurance sector lost the most losing 39.83 points.
