Market plunges by more than 6 points; turnover shows improvement, stands at Rs.30 Crore

The market today lost 0.54% or 6.35 points to close at 1160.28 points. The turnover today was of Rs.30.84 Crore achieved from trade of 991,730 units of shares traded through 4,082 transactions trading scrips of 155 listed companies in the process.
NMB Bank (NMB) stood ahead in terms of turnover and shares traded today as well. NMB posted a turnover worth Rs.2.27 Crore achieved through trade of 63,797 units of shares with its LTP standing at Rs.357 per share. NMB was followed by Global IME Bank (GBIME) on both the lists.
Today’s top gainer was Nepal Hydro Developers Limited (NHDL) after it gained 4.48% or 6 points to close at Rs.140 per share. Nepal Seva Laghubitta (NSEWA) was today’s top loser as it lost 5.65% or 35 points to close at Rs.584 per share.
Sensitive Index lost 1.30 points to close at 246.72 points while Float Index lost 0.47 points to close at 84.31 points.
Finance sector and Others were the only gaining sub-indices gaining 0.14% and 0.31% respectively. Rest of the sub-indices ended in the red zone with Non-Life Insurance sector losing the most at 1.66%.
