Market opens for the week with minimal gain of 0.95 points; Mahuli Samudayik Laghubitta hits the positive circuit

On the opening day of the week, the market was in the green zone for the whole day and was at 1253 points at its highest. However, the benchmark index stood to gain minimum of 0.95 points and closed at 1249.49 points. The turnover stood at Rs.28.52 Crore achieved from trade of 1,042,646 units of shares traded through 4,921 transactions trading scrips of 161 listed companies in the process.

Citizen Investment Trust (CIT) stood ahead in terms of trade with turnover of Rs.2.53 Crore and LTP of Rs.2435 per share. In terms of volume, Promoter Shares of Mega Bank Limited (MEGAPO) stood ahead with trade of 205,871 units of shares with LTP of Rs.106 per share.

Mahuli Samudayik Laghubitta (MSLB) hit the positive circuit as it gained 9.90% or 87 points and closed at Rs.966 per share. Multipurpose Finance Company (MPFL) was today’s top loser after it lost 8.27% or 11 points and closed at Rs.122 per share.

Sensitive Index gained 0.24 points and closed at 268.57 points while Float Index gained 0.06 points and closed at 91.77 points.

Banking, Finance, Non-Life Insurance, Manufacturing and Microfinance were among the losing sub-indices today while rest of the sub-indices ended in the green zone after gaining points.
