Market opens for the week with loss of double digits; Panchthar Power Company share price falls below par value

On the opening day of the week, the market fell by double digits, losing 1.06% or 12.61 points. The benchmark index closed at 1178.46 points. The turnover stood at Rs.30.53 Crore achieved through trade of 1,173,488 units of shares traded through 5,640 transactions trading 165 scrips of listed companies in the process.

Promoter Shares of Prabhu bank Limited (PRVUPO) dominated the trade today with turnover of Rs.5.24 Crore achieved through trade of 323,951 units of shares. The LTP of the scrip stands at Rs.162 per share.

Adhikhola Laghubitta (AKBSL) hit the positive circuit today as it gained 9.90% or 40 points and closed at Rs.440 per share. Panchthar power Company (PPCL) was today’s top loser as it lost 8.49% or 9 points and closed at Rs.97 per share.

Sensitive Index lost 2.77 points and closed at 257.13 points while Float Index lost 0.86 points and closed at 87.06 points.

All the sub-indices ended in the red zone after losing points. Non-Life Insurance sector was the top loser as it lost 2.21% or 102.29 points.
