Market opens for the week with loss of double digit points; three companies hit the circuit, two positive and one negative

The market today observed correction as it loses double digit points after reaching a high of 1668 points. The benchmark index lost 2.50% or 40.82 points and closed at low of 1591.36 points. The turnover amount continues to increase, achieving new highs every day. The total turnover stood at Rs.4.84 Arba achieved through trade of 12,517,217 units of shares traded through 39,289 transactions trading scrips of 183 listed companies in the process.

NMB Bank Limited (NMB) posted the highest turnover of Rs.26.63 Crore with LTP of the stock standing at Rs.498 per share. Global IME Bank Limited (GBIME) stood ahead in terms of volume with trade of 821,022 units of shares. The LTP of the stock stood at Rs.312 per share.

Two companies hit the positive circuit today. Miteri Development Bank (MDB) gained 9.90% or 41 points followed by Manjushree Finance Limited (MFIL) with gain of 9.88% or 25 points. Bottlers Nepal Terai (BNT) hit the negative circuit after losing 9.99% or 856 points to close at Rs.7712 per share.

Sensitive Index lost 7.04 points and closed at 340.64 points while Float Index lost 2.65 points and closed at 113.05 points.

Finance sector posted a gain of 0.60% while the rest of the sub-indices ended in the red zone after losing points today.
