Market opens for the week with double digit loss; NEPSE falls to 1258.27 points with turnover of Rs.47.25 Crore

On the opening day of the week, the market fell by double digits. The benchmark index lost 0.89% or 11.36 points and closed at 1258.27 points. The turnover today was worth Rs.47.25 Crore which was achieved from trade of 1,473,808 units of shares traded through 6,903 transactions trading scrips of 174 listed companies in the process.

Nepal Bank Limited (NBL) dominated the trade today with turnover of Rs.2.95 Crore achieved through trade of 91,288 units of shares. The LTP of the commercial bank stands at Rs.324 per share.

Nepal Agro Laghubitta (NAGRO) was today’s top gainer as it gained 6.75% or 22 points and closed at Rs.348 per share. Mahila Sahayatra Microfinance (MSMBS) was today’s top loser after it lost 7.87% or 26 points and closed at Rs.421 per share.

Sensitive Index lost 1.87 points and closed at 269.97 points while Float Index lost 0.82 points and closed at 92.24 points.

Today all the sub-indices ended in the red zone after losing points.
