Market moves sideways as it loses minimal points; one hydropower company hits the positive circuit while another hits the negative

The market today lost minimal points. The benchmark index closed at 1187.77 points as it lost 0.20 points or 0.02%. The turnover today was of Rs.28.77 Crore which was achieved from trade of 835,826 units of shares traded through 4,897 transactions trading scrips of 164 listed companies in the process.

Nepal Bank Limited (NBL) posted a turnover of Rs.2.54 Crore which was achieved from trade of 87,574 units of shares which was the highest today. The LTP of the bank has fallen to Rs.293 per share after it denied shareholders with dividend this year as well.

Like yesterday, Upper Tamakoshi (UPPER) hit the positive circuit within 2 minutes of the market opening. It gained 9.89% or 28 points to close at Rs.311 per share. Another hydropower company hit the negative circuit today. Joshi Hydropower (JOSHI) lost 9.66% or 26 points to close at Rs.243 per share.

Sensitive Index lost 0.50 points and closed at 251.01 points while Float Index remains unchanged at 86.23 points.

Hydropower, Others and Microfinance were among the gaining sub-indices as they gained 3.17%, 0.33% and 0.64% respectively. Rest of the sub-indices lost points with Trading losing the most at 1.24%.
