Market moves in the positive direction by almost 2% to close at 1212 points; more than 2 million units of shares traded, posting a turnover of Rs.74.27 Crore

The market today was in the green zone for the most part of the day, gaining massive 1.96% or 23.33 points in the process. The benchmark index closed at 1212.05 points today. The turnover was worth Rs.74.27 Crore which was achieved from trade of 2,411,650 units of shares traded through 8,978 transactions trading scrips of 170 listed companies in the process.

Today’s highest turnover was posted by NMB Bank Limited (NMB). The commercial bank posted a turnover of Rs.6.70 Crore with its LTP standing at Rs.375 per share. Civil Bank Limited (CBL) was today’s most traded scrip. A total of 201,448 units of the scrip were traded today. The LTP of the commercial bank stands at Rs.168 per share.

Shree Investment Finance Company Limited (SIFC) was today’s top gainer after it gained 6.67% or 9 points and closed at Rs.144 per share. Universal Power Company Limited (UPCL) was today’s top loser as it lost 3.22% or 3 points and closed at Rs.90 per share.

Sensitive Index gained 5.48 points and closed at 260.24 points while Float Index gained 1.92 points and closed at 89.28 points.

All the sub-indices gained points today closing in the green zone. Top gainer among sub-indices was commercial banks as they gained 2.78% followed by microfinance gaining 2.49%.
