Market makes minimal movement while turnover falls below Rs.20 Crore; Manufacturing & Processing becomes the top losing sub-index

The market made minimal movement today. The benchmark index lost 0.03% or 0.40 points and closed at 1160.59 points. Today’s turnover was at Rs.19.20 Crore which was achieved from trade of 572,775 units of shares traded through 4,600 transactions trading scrips of 168 listed companies in the process.

Citizen Investment Trust (CIT) topped the turnover list after posting a turnover of Rs.2.30 Crore with its LTP standing at Rs.2717 per share. A total of A total of 53,226 units of Upper Tamakoshi (UPPER) were traded today making UPPER the top stock in terms of shares traded. The LTP of the hydropower company stands at Rs.256 per share.

Unnati Microfinance (UMB) was today’s top gainer after it gained 7.14% or 86 points to close at Rs.1295 per share. Today’s top loser, City Express Finance (CEFL), lost 7.51% or 10 points to close at Rs.123 per share.

Sensitive Index gained 0.28 points and closed at 246.75 points while Float Index gained 0.04 points and closed at 84.30 points.

Banking, Trading, Hotels, Others and Microfinance were among the gaining sub-indices today with Trading gaining the most at 0.75%. Rest of the sub-indices lost points today to close in the red zone. Manufacturing & Processing were today’s top loser after posting a loss of 3.08% or 63.82 points.
