Market loses double digits to close at 1337.04 points; three companies hit the positive circuit

After gaining for three consecutive days, the market observed correction as it lost double digit points. The benchmark index lost 12.09 points or 0.90% and closed at 1337.04 points today. The turnover amount stood at Rs.1.57 Arba achieved through trade of 4,949,015 units of shares traded through 17,560 transactions trading scrips of 176 listed companies in the process.

Nepal Insurance Company Limited (NICL) posted the highest turnover of Rs.10.70 Crore with LTP at Rs.449 per share. National Hydropower Company Limited (NHPC) stood ahead in terms of volume with trade of 468,987 units of shares. The LTP of the stock stood at Rs.64 per share.

Three companies hit the positive circuit today. Support Microfinance Bittiya Sanstha (SMB) gained 9.99% while Dibyashwari Hydropower Limited (DHPL) and NHPC gained 9.62% and 8.47% respectively. Mithila Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (MLBB) was today’s top loser as it lost 5.23% or 45 points, closing at Rs.815 per share.

Sensitive Index lost 2.92 points and closed at 284.99 points while Float Index lost 0.95 points and closed at 94.93 points.

Development Banks, Finance, Non-Life Insurance and Others were among gaining sub-indices today while the rest of the sub-indices ended in the red zone after losing points.
