Market loses double digits on the first trading day of the week; NBL posts turnover of more than Rs.14 Crore

The market today stood to lose 0.84% or 10.14 points to close at 1194.87 points. Today’s turnover was of Rs.33.38 Crore achieved from trade of 1,079,427 units of shares through 3,488 transactions trading scrips of 145 companies in the process.

Nepal Bank Limited (NBL) topped the turnover and shares traded list with trade of 479,916 units of shares posting a turnover of Rs.14.05 Crore. The LTP of the bank stands at Rs.295 per share.

Today’s top gainer was Panchakanya Mai Hydropower (PMHPL) after it gained 2.44% or # points to close at Rs.126 per share. Samata Microfinance (SMATA) lost 8.49% or 137 points to close at Rs.1475 per share, making it today’s top loser.

Sensitive Index lost 2.28 points and closed at 254 points while Float Index lost 0.72 points and closed at 86.82 points.

Trading sector was the only sub-index to end in the green zone, gaining 0.35% or 0.84 points. Rest of the sub-indices ended in the red zone with hydropower losing the most.
