Market loses double digits and closes at 1230 points; Turnover dips to Rs.37 Crore

The market today saw a heavy loss of 10.76 points or 0.87% and closed at 1230.60 points. The turnover for today was Rs.37.40 Crore which was achieved from trade of 1,436,512 units of shares through 4,738 transactions trading scrips of 165 companies. A dip in turnover can be seen compared to other days.
NMB Bank (NMB) stood ahead in terms of turnover with turnover of Rs.2.62 Crore followed by NIC Asia Bank (NICA) with turnover of Rs.2.52 Crore. Machhapuchhre Bank (MBL) stood ahead in terms of shares traded with trade of 81,956 units of shares followed by NMB with trade of 74,537 units of shares.
Nadep Laghubitta (NADEP) continues its gaining streak and stood to gain 101 points or 9.91% with LTP at Rs.1120 per share making it today’s top gainer. The top loser today was Nepal Hydro Developers (NHDL) after it lost 8 points or 5.44% with LTP at Rs.139 per share.
Sensitive Index stood to lose 2.39 points and closed at 261.06 points while Float Index lost 0.85 points and closed at 89.43 points.
Trading sector and Hotels beat the market trend by gaining 1.85% and 0.3% respectively. All the other sub-indices lost today. The top loser among them was Others sector which lost 1.18% or 8.75 points.
