Market loses double digit points on the first trading day of the week; NEPSE Index closes at 1276.68 points

The market lost points for the third consecutive day, losing 1.60% or 20.79 points today. The benchmark index closed at 1276.68 points today. The turnover amount stood at Rs.96.50 Crore achieved through trade of 2,660,037 units of shares traded through 12,750 transactions trading scrips of 174 listed companies in the process.

Deprosc Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha (DDBL) posted the highest turnover at Rs.8.26 Crore with its LTP standing at Rs.1032 per share. Global IME Bank Limited (GBIME) stood ahead in terms of volume with trade of 216,359 units of shares. The LTP of the commercial bank stood at Rs.289 per share.

Joshi Hydropower Company Limited (JOSHI) was today’s top gainer as it gained 3.17% or 2 points and closed at Rs.65 per share. Janaki Finance Limited (JFL) was today’s top loser after losing 8.55% or 16 points to close at Rs.171 per share.

Sensitive Index lost 4.10 points and closed at 274.62 points while Float Index lost 1.48 points and closed at 90.45 points.

All the sub-indices ended in the red zone after losing points today. The highest loser among them was Non-Life Insurance sector as it lost 2.79% or 151.74 points.
