Market loses 7.57 points while turnover crosses Rs.53 Crore; Upper Tamakoshi hits the positive circuit within minutes of market opening

The market today reached a high of 1200 points but stood to lose 0.63% or 7.57 points and closed at 1187.97 points. Today’s turnover was of Rs.53.06 Crore which was achieved from trade of 1,744,187 units of shares traded through 5,241 transactions trading scrips of 169 listed companies in the process.

Nepal Bank Limited (NBL) posted the highest turnover achieved through trade of most number of share. The bank posted a turnover of Rs.8.81 Crore achieved through trade of 301,140 units of shares. The LTP of the bank has fallen to Rs.291 per share.

Two companies hit the positive circuit today. Upper Tamakoshi (UPPER) gained 9.69% or 25 points and closed at Rs.283 per share. Similarly, National Hydro Developers (NHDL) gained 9.38% or 12 points and closed at Rs.140 per share. NMB Microfinance (NMBMF) was today’s top loser after it lost 7.49% or 91 points and closed at Rs.1123 per share.

Sensitive Index lost 2.05 points and closed at 251.50 points while Float index lost 0.39 points and closed at 86.23 points.

Trading, Hydropower and Manufacturing & Products were the only sub-indices that gained today. They gained 0.74%, 1.80% and 0.13% respectively. Rest of the sub-indices ended in the red zone as they lost points. Non-Life Insurance were today’s top losers after it lost 1.91% or 112.18 points.
