Market gains minimum points as turnover stands at Rs.26.88 Crore; EIC loses more than 7% today as well

After a fall of more than 5 points, the market stood to gain exactly 1 point to close for the day. The market closed at 1182.74 points. The turnover for today was at Rs.26.88 Crore achieved from trade of 852,768 units of shares through 3,370 transactions trading scrips of 151 companies in the process.

Nabil Bank Promoter Shares (NABILP) posted the highest turnover of Rs.3.20 Crore. Nepal Bank (NBL) stood ahead in terms of shares traded after trade of 107,031 units of shares.

Shangrila Development Bank (SADBL) was today’s top gainer after it gained 4.29% or 6 points to close at Rs.146 per share. Today’s top loser was Everest Insurance Company (EIC) after it lost 7.4% or 63 points to close at Rs.788 per share.

Sensitive Index gained 0.35 points to close at 251.46 points while Float Index gained 0.1 points to close at 85.95 points.

Banking, Development Banks, Finance, Other and Life Insurance sectors were among the gaining sub-indices while rest of the sub-indices ended in the red zone with Hotels losing the most at 1.25%.
