Market gains massive 31.89 points to open for the week; turnover crosses Rs.1 Arba, three companies hit positive circuit and banking sub-index gains the most

On the first trading day of the week, the market posted a huge gain of 2.59% or 31.89 points, continuing the gaining streak. The benchmark index closed at 1264.20 points. Today’s turnover was of Rs.1.02 Arba which was achieved from trade of 3,327,480 units of shares traded through 10,546 transactions, trading scrips of 171 listed companies in the process. This suggests that the sentiments of the market is improving and investors have regained hope in the market.

Today’s trade was dominated by Nepal bank Limited (NBL). The scrip posted a turnover of Rs.14.80 Crore achieved through trade of 479,666 units of shares. The LTP of the bank stands at Rs.314 per share.

Three companies hit the positive circuit today. Among them, Standard Chartered Bank (SCB) posted the highest growth of 9.98%. Best Finance Company (BFC) was today’s top loser as it lost 4.16% or 4 points and closed at Rs.92 per share.

Sensitive Index gained 7.84 points and closed at 273.41 points while Float Index gained 2.39 points and closed at 93.38 points.

Even in a growing market, Non-Life Insurance and Manufacturing sector managed to end in the red zone after losing 0.13% and 0.60% respectively. Rest of the sub-indices gained points with commercial banks gaining the most at 4.10%.
