Market gains 9 points on last trading day of the week; Mega Bank shares traded the most

The market today stood to gain 9.03 points or 0.74% and closed at 1227.36 points. The turnover today was of Rs.25.23 Crore which was achieved from trade of 862,368 units of shares through 4,584 transactions trading scrips of 165 listed companies.

Mega Bank (MEGA) stood ahead in terms of turnover and shares traded after it posted a turnover of Rs.1.64 Crore achieved from trade of 82,760 units of shares. The LTP of the bank stands at Rs.200 per share.

United Finance Limited (UFL) was today’s top gainer after it gained 12 points or 7.95% to close at Rs.163 per share. Today’s top losers were Panchakanya Mai Hydropower (PMHPL) after it lost 8 points or 5.55% to close at 136 per share. The shares of PMHPL were listed yesterday on the market.

Sensitive Index gained 2.11 points and closed at 260.79 points while Float Index gained 0.8 points and closed at 89.23 points.

Hotels lost 1.71% or 31.32 points while Manufacturing and Products lost 0.53% or 12.43 points making them the only losing sub-indices. Banks gained 1.13% or 12.14 points making them today’s top gaining sub-index.
