Market gains 2.70 points to close for the week; Kalika Laghubitta becomes top loser after dividend declaration

The market today saw a little improvement as it gained 0.24% or 2.70 points and closed at 1120.84 points. However, the market had reached 1126 points at its highest point today. The turnover was of Rs.37.09 Crore which was achieved from trade of 1,374,346 units of shares traded through 4,170 transactions trading scrips of 162 listed companies in the process.

Today’s highest turnover was posted by NMB Bank (NMB) which was of Rs.4.46 Crore, with its LTP at Rs.356 per share. 128,881 units of Machhapuchchhre Bank Promoter Shares (MBLPO) were traded today, making to the top of shares traded list. The LTP of the same stands at Rs.130 per unit.

IME General Insurance (IGI) gained 7.30% or 27 points gaining the most today. The LTP of the company stands at Rs.397 per share. Today’s top loser was Kalika Laghubitta (KMCDB) as it lost 7.42% or 61 points to close at Rs.760 per share.

Sensitive Index gained 0.54 points and closed at 238.33 points while Float Index gained 0.16 points and closed at 81.27 points.

The only losing sub-indices were Hydropower and Manufacturing & Products losing 0.85% and 0.12% respectively. Rest of the sub-indices closed in the green zone with Life Insurance gaining the most at 0.89%.
