Market gains 2.26 points, closes at 1,404.49

The benchmark index at Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) has increased slightly by 2.26 points or 0.16% to close at 1404.49 points.
NEPSE had opened at 1402.23 and remained turbulent throughout the day. It reached its lowest point at 1399.74 and reached its highest point at 1405.85. However, at the end of the day, the index ended at 1404.49 gaining 2.26 points.
The total turnover of the day was Rs 31.15 crore where more than 7.49 lakh units of shares were exchanged through 3,894 transactions.
Butwal Power Company Limited (BPCL) stood ahead in terms of total turnover for the day with its total transactions exceeding over 2.42 crore. Sanima Mai Hydrower Limited (SHPC) was ahead in terms of number of shares traded as 53,167 shares were traded during the day.
Nepal Insurance Company Limited (NICL) made the highest profit today as their value increased by 7.92% to Rs 1,350. Likewise, Ngadi Group Power Limited (NGPL) was the top loser as its value decreased by 7 points or 2.9915% and its LTP was Rs 227.
Both Sensitive and Float index increased by 0.35 point and 0.26 point respectively.
The indices of all the trading groups showed an upward movement and landed in green today except Hydropower, Manufacturing & Production and Others indices. Hotels sector gained by 35.92 points while Hydropower lost 8.1 points.
